Plasterboard partitions

- Categories : Blog & News

Drywall is a construction technique commonly used to organize the interior space of a building. Plasterboard is often referred to as "placoplâtre".

Essentially, plasterboard partitioning consists of attaching plasterboard panels to a metal framework to form internal partitions. Here are the main stages in the process:

Metal framing:A thin metal structure is attached to the floor, ceiling and walls as a partitioning structure. A vertical post and a horizontal railing can be used to build this frame.

Insulation: Insulation can be placed between the top and bottom of the structure if required, such as insulating materials.

Plasterboard: Screws are used to connect the metal frame to the plasterboard. Plasterboard can be single or double, depending on insulation and strength requirements.

Grouting and finishing: To achieve a uniform, smooth surface, the joints between the plasterboards are then coated with plaster.
